Since 1935, the Cherry Hut restaurant has been located on US 31 just outside downtown Beulah, Michigan in Beautiful Benzie County.

The Village of Beulah is located on the east shore of Crystal Lake and is approximately 8 miles east of Lake Michigan and the City of Frankfort, 45 miles north of Manistee, and 38 miles south-west of Traverse City. Other towns and villages in Benzie County that are closeby are Benzonia, Elberta, Honor, Thompsonville and Lake Ann.

As more and more people came to enjoy the cherry products sold at the restaurant, a "jam kitchen" was established in Benzonia, to meet the increased demand and to prepare and distribute the cherry jam products.

Today a number of Cherry and Berry jams, jellies, preserves are still made by hand in Benzonia. Additional products including many dried cherry and berry products and other locally grown and produced products are sold around the country.
